We stumbled upon a huge money saving recycling practice

Our spa sells plastic gift cards with the numbers printed on the back with a bar code

Just before the holidays, we found out we were down to our last 20 and none of the card printers could turn around a new batch in time for last minute gift shoppers.

We bought a bar-code generating software program online for $14.95 and created our own bar-codes and numbering system which we printed on return address labels which pasted perfectly over the space taken up on the back by the OEM printing.  We had a stack of over 100 gift cards that had been redeemed recently, so we just put the stickers on them and recycled the plastic by using it again

No one ever looks on the back of their card -- all the booking info they need is on the Gift Card holder.

This saved us over $2 per card and our holiday GC sales!
