Hello ladies, I'm an Indiana resident.  How in the world do I get my Tax Id number and subsequently my retail license?  I am doing booth rent, so I am a sole proprietor, right?

Tax forms have always been overwhelming for me, and I can't even seem to find the right forms to fill out... Please educate me ^_^

I'm not in your state, so this is just general -

If you are a sole proprietor your # will be your SS#; if you have employees you'd need an FEIN #  - you'd have to get this info via the IRS website.

If you're talking about retailing items:

you  should google "indiana sales and use tax"  or go to your state website and search thru there, should be a .gov

I'm in Indiana also!! My friend just went through her accountant and they set it up!!

Hi Kim,

Try this link...

Check...

This may not be the correct page, but contact this office and someone should be able to help you.

Thanks for the help ladies.  This post is from 2013, and shortly after posting I was able to figure out what to do.  I had a great time doing booth rent in Indiana, and now I'm gearing up to do the same thing in my new home state of Arizona!
