Hi:

Just wondering about doing scrubs and wraps with no shower.  I know you can just take product off with hot towels but do you layer the sheets and then have the client get up after the scrub is removed so they aren't laying in a dirty sheet or do you lay plastic down??

trying to figure out a good way to do this.

Thanks

Hi Esty student here. At our school we use the hot towels. We use a a solar foil sheet on top of a light blanket, then cover that with the fitted sheet and a top sheet and then another Blanket. We apply our products and then remove the top blanket. Then we cocoon them with from the top sheet down to the lowest, the light blanket, ( if it is a mud or body wrap). If it is just a scrub we do not use the solar blanket. Just a top sheet and bottom sheet and top blanket.  Once we are ready to remove the product, we unwrap them and leave on the top sheet, and add the top blanket again. That way they are not cold. Then we go around to each area, arms, legs, back, mid section, removing the product with hot towels. Once we are finished, we help them to sit up. We tell the client that there is a warm towel laid out for them on top of a clean towel on the towel cabbie if they feel the need to get some areas that may need additional scrub or mud removed as they get up. We also put a small bath mat on the floor and place their shoes on top of mat so they can slip their shoes on right away,  Then we go in first thing and gather up everything and put it in the laundry. Then we sweep the floor to remove any scrub that may have got onto the floor. Then clean the room and disinfect everything. Wash up our bowls and implements and disinfect them.  Hope this helps.

do you remove the scrub and the mud or just remove both at the same time after the wrap??
