Selling Retail
Will I need a tax i.d. # to sell retail to my clients, the spa I was employed at previously took care of it and now I'm going to be renting and selling it on my own. I'm in Illinois. Anybody aware if this depends on the dollar amount sold? I'm looking at skin script and circadia to sell.

Your tax ID will depend on whether or not Illinois collects sales tax. They do not care about the amount you sell only that you report it. Some tax codes can have a dollar limit so it is best to get some local tax advise. Some counties/cities even require a separate tax. It can be so confusing.
