The hypopigmentation is just around/below her eyes? Does she wear eye glasses when running? Any history of allergy, including food allergy? I would need thyroid blood work and know what kind of supplements, including multivitamins as well.

Is she too skinny?
Thank you, these are great questions and I appreciate your input! I will get back to you with more info as soon as I speak with her. Great things to think about. It is not a sun issue and the pigmentation is all around the eye area. Will find out about weight, she is on the thin side. Will ask about supplements.

From what I believe this is caused by the metals.  Metals that our body takes in.   It can be because of a copper and zinc deficiency and if she eats a lot of things high in iron and the copper intake and zinc intake is significantly lower, it can result in lack of pigmentation around the eyes.   A trip to the health food store for expert advice from a nutritionalist might help.....if she is eating too much iron she will be constipated a lot.  So that would be a good start to cut out some of the iron.  Spinach, green leafed veggies, dark beer etc.  Because we cannot diagnose or recommend supplements as an Esthetician, just pointing her in the right direction will help.

Wow Claire! Impressive! I will ask about constipation and inform her about this. Thanks great information
