Skin Script users:  I just used this enzyme on my skin from my sample kit and my skin still burns, 10 minutes after washing it off.  Any advice?  I thought enzymes were supposed to be the gentlest form of exfoliation...they are in every line I've used.  My skin feels smooth and looks great.  Help!

The burning kept getting worse so I went upstairs and my cheeks and around my nose were bright red!  I washed my face with the only (hopefully) gentle cleanser I could fine, the Green Tea Citrus cleanser in my sample kit.  My regular cleanser is 5% lactic acid so I didn't want to use that.  I then put on a calming moisturizer from Avene and it's finally starting to calm down.  I used the Pomegranate enzyme, coconut enzyme, lemon zest and blueberry enzymes from this kit and never had this issue before.  Didn't feel I got great results with those either.   But this one, wow!  Felt worse than some peels I've received.  I'd still love to hear is this is normal for this enzyme from the Skin Script estys.  Thanks!

When you tried the enzyme did you just remove it or nutralize it with baking soda and water? Also i dont know much about skin script enzymes, but I have noticed with Pumpkin enzymes they are stronger than others.

Just removed it.  I have never heard of having to neutralize an enzyme.  I've known pumpkin to be stronger as well, but not once it's removed.  It's better now after washing my face, but still somewhat tingly around my nose. I won't be using it again and would never use it on a client.  My 30% Dermalogica lactic acid didn't burn this much at all.

I remember I tried pumpkin enzyme before from a company by the name of " a natural difference " and my face was on fire as soon as I put it on. It may just be the active ingredients in the product

Pumpkin Orange Enzyme is quite strong. Did you ask this in the SS group? Lisa and Dave (from SS) are always on there answering questions.

I love this enzyme and so do my clients. I get great results! And since it is so strong, I don't use it on everybody and certainly not on their 1st visit. Once I know their skin and feel confident with using it, then I will, but I am still cautious.

Enzymes can be gentle from the ones from SS are super effective so therefore a little stronger. Since you had that reaction, I definitely wouldn't use it again but I wouldn't stay away from it altogether. Try it on friends and family and see what happens. It really is a great enzyme and one of my faves!

Thanks.  No, I don't belong to the SS group as I don't professionally use the products.  I ordered the retail and professional sample kits just to try out the line.  I have done alot of things to my skin, including peels up to 45% and I am just surprised at how my skin still feels this much later.  Not much more I can do, since I washed it and put on a soothing cream.

My favorite enzyme is the Circadia Cocoa Enzyme.  Great results and no reaction by me or any clients I used it on in the past.

I just posted in the Skin Script group, my cheeks are still feeling red and burny this morning!  I threw the rest of the sample away. I think I'm just not meant for pumpkin enymes!
