Hi everyone!  The spa I work for is bringing on SkinCeuticals and I wanted to get thoughts from estheticians who have had experience with the line.   Thanks!

I'm curious about this too! I use it for myself at home and love the Phloretin cf & B5 complex, but was told by a colleague that it's an Rx line and only a Medi-spa or Dr's office has access to wholesale...

That's true, it's medical grade, and you have to have a Dr licence on the practice to use it.  Which the spa I work at does.  I haven't had a chance to try any of the products, and only saw it a little bit at an open house we went to while still in school.   I looked at the website to do some research, but it's not really that easy to navigate.

You will love them ! PhytoGel and Hydrating B6 still my favorites - it has been many years since I have worked for a Medical Facility that offered the product line yet remain a loyal customer :) BTW online pricing is insanely competitive.
Bests

They didn't used to be med-spa only.

They changed their focus about 4 years ago or so - no change in the products or ingredients.

It is not an Rx only line.

While I like the products, I don't love them.  But lots of people do. I really hated the eyedropper packaging on the serums. And because a lot of them are very thin, if you accidently tip the bottle you can easily lose $100 worth of serum on the floor.

When the B5 gel came out there weren't alot of HA hydrating serums out there. Plus their Ferulic C +E was the first of it's kind too.  The A.G.E.  moisturizer is $150  and the ingredients aren't THAT amazing. I haven't seen much from them lately that is new and innovative...as far as I know, the exact same products as 4 years ago.

Their peels are pretty basic, IMO....one of them is Dr only strength

Agree, regarding the eyedropper packaging and fairly basic peels.

I agree with everything that is posted here. I worked with SkinCeuticals for 8 years and ADORED the line. It was always on the cutting edge, and I loved the B5 (ha gel), C + E, Pyto +, etc....they offered great innovative ingredients that were not common inother products. Since that time however, they havent seemed to add as much and other brands have caught up and now offer similar products/ingredients.

when I left the spa I worked at, I really wanted to bring on SC but couldnt as they had recently made the decision to only open new accounts in medical facilities. I'm glad now that I wasn't able to get an account with them since I have found everything I was looking for from other, less expensive lines.

The training was always great when we had it. Lots of industry white papers and scientific information behind the product.

Overall, its a good line, but I don't feel it is as exceptional as it used to be. I also agree about the dropper bottles. Advise your clients to close them quickly and tightly as the vit C oxidizes quickly.
