I sent a survey to my clients asking what new service they would like, some of them would like me to offer spray tanning. If your a solo esti do you offer this service, why or why not? What product/machine would you recommend?

I am solo and I offer this service. I am using VIP premium blends based out of St Pete! Everyone really loves the color so far. I have the whole system from them.
Well my spa has only been open for 5 weeks so not extremely popular at the moment. I do live in Florida where everyone wants to actually be in the sun...but I am sure with time and advertising (which I haven't done yet) I think the popularity will increase. It really is an extremely profitable service to add...they say in some cases and spending what you use the average tan only cost about $5-$8 and you charge anywhere from $20 to $40. I charge $30 for 1-4 tans, $25 for 5-9 and $20 for 10 plus if they buy a package. Friends I spray for $20 or larger groups. I didn't have any formal training from the place that I bought but he was very helpful with tips and what to do. They offer a class but it is around $200 and you get a certification, I bought with a friend and he was like just spray each other 3 or 4 times and you will get it down pat. I also watched quite a few you tube videos. I am in Florida and the place is really close to me so I liked that aspect of it.
Good luck, keep me posted with what you decide to do.
oh and I was going to say...the key is to not overspray so you don't waste your solution. If you adjust your sprayer to barely have the color come out and hold it about 2-3" away from the client, you will probably use 2-3 oz of solution for each person, depending o their size. So think, if you get a 64 oz bottle of solution for $100 or $125 and you are able to spray about 25-30 people, you will make a decent profit.
