Boy...there's quite a debate on this one if you search some of the spray tan forums out there! I bought a MaxiMist set up that came with Suntana solution. I used it a few times on my husband and wasn't impressed with the quick fading he had. The color was fine, it just didn't last. May have been my technique because I'm still a beginner. I've heard good things about Tampa Bay tan and Jamaica Me Tan but I haven't tried either yet. Mostly all of these companies sell sample sizes that will do 3-4 tans.
If you find something you like, please share!!
After the disaster I shall refer to as Moroccan tan, I recommend getting a spray nozzle that is METAL.
I purchased the whole kit from Tampa Bay Tan and I LOVE IT! With the package they will give you a sampler of their solutions. Personally, my favorite is their Revive solution. I have tried other solutions with the same gun and I think that Tampa Bay's solution fades the best, there is no breaking apart in the skin and the color is very natural. I have had the equipment for over 2 years without any problem. I have never used their aftercare products, and there's not a lot of hands on training with them. I was lucky to have a friend of a friend that owns a tanning salon and trained me, but you can always sign up for the Norvell webinar trainings and they are super informative! Hope this helps.
Hi. Can you tell more about the Fake Bake system? Is it lotion that is applied to the client? I am looking for self tanning that I can offer to clients as well, but I am trying to be wise with my investment.
This is brilliant Coldsalineplexus! I had refused to do spray tanning since the previous mentioned disaster. I may try this again! THANKS!!!
Did you try it, Amy? I'm looking for a tanning system to add to my services, so I'm looking around previous posts lol
Bought it Saturday and Tried it today. WOW!!! I simply LOVE this!!! I used something called Airbrush by fake bake. Applied with gloves, massage style, and AMAZING RESULTS!!! AMAZING, and my client FELL ASLEEP!
How awesome is that?!!!
I spent 40$ on product (I got 3) and a couple of sets of dark sheets. That was it! AMAZING!!!
so wait... no "spraying" at all?
well the spray comes out of the bottle like hairspray and then I use the mitt to do a sort of quick rubbing motion onto the skin. No equipment needed and it's relaxing. :D
