I saw an article yesterday about a recent study that showed people who regularly use sunscreen are statistically more likely to suffer a serious sunburn than those who don't, largely because of a sense of complacency.  Basically, the researchers are saying that people who regularly use sunscreen assume it will protect them, and so  they stay out in the sun longer ultimately leading to a higher chance of getting burned.  What do you think?

Everyone should get to know what spf stands for and how it guides you. Also all sunscreens say how often they should be reapplied. So if some people using sunscreen get more serious sunburns than people not using it, they are probably not paying attention to how sunscreen works so in all essence they are not really wearing sunscreen. ( not applying often enough )Know What i mean?

Very true! You could definitely say that if they're not following the instructions, they're not really using sunscreen--that's a great point.

Fortunately the FDA has recently come out with those new guidelines on sunscreen, so hopefully it will help to better educate the public about the proper way to use it.
