Hi Beth, I know this is an older post but I'm new here and reading through some of the oldies and wanted to reply because I've been using DQ for over 9 years. I was with them when nobody knew who they were! Lately they have been making lots of changes and really promoting the line so they are growing and I've seen the pains! I love the products, they are good quality and they are results oriented. The customer service and training is poor, unless you happen to have a really good rep. In my area they just hired a whole new sales team and I lost my wonderful rep who had been with them for years.
But back to the products...they are a bit pricey but it depends on who your clients are and what they are used to spending. I'm in a small town and in this poor economy my sales were really going downhill. I decided to bring in a less pricey line as an alternative and that has helped a lot. However, I still carry DQ and use the line myself. I LOVE the cleansers and sell a ton of the Daily Enzyme, Anti-Bacterial Enzyme and the C-Lipoic. The cleansers are fairly priced. I also think the Zinclear, regular and tinted, is one of the best sunscreens on the market, especially for oily skin. A couple more must haves for me are the C-Lipoic Serum and the Rejuvaderm. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to answer as well as I can!
Thanks for the reply. I too am in a small town. Image is my main line, but I wanted to bring in a few specialty products from DQ. Have you tried the Peptide Mobilizer? I have heard the Creamy Glycolic cleanser is nice too. I like the zinclear, B5, the retexture(retinol one not sure of the name) so far. What is a good moisturizer...What is rejuvaderm?
Thanks, I appreciate you help!
Image is my main line now too. Alure Labs (owned by CEO and chemist for DQ) formulates for Image so there are some similarities. Many of my clients were using Peptide Mobilizer when the economy was good but my sales went down drastically when people started pinching pennies. It's a nice product but I have used both the Petptide Mobilizer and the Max Serum and Creme and I personally don't see a difference on my skin. My clients seem to be happy with the switch too. For half the price they get more product and the stem cells too! The
The Glyco creamy cleanser is very nice and many of my clients use it as an exfoliation a couple times a week. I use it a lot in the treatment room. And the Glyco lotion 12% is fabulous for clients with milia.
Rejuvaderm is a Salicylic/Azelaic/Glycolic treatment which is well balanced with added hyaluronic acid so it's fabulous for adult acne. It's non-drying so it can be used nightly as a anti-aging/anti-acne treatment.
In my opinion DQ lacks a good general, reasonably priced moisturizer. My fav is KQ10 Firming Cream but it's not enough for very dry skin, more of a lotion than a cream. Revive Rich is the only heavy moisturizer but my clients weren't impressed.
Overall I LOVE the whole line it's just a little too pricey for my clientele right now. But for the few for whom money is no object it's what I recommend. It's a nice addition to Image!
Hi Laurie,
I use Dermaquest as well and absolutley love it but would like to add a 2nd, less expensive line. Do you mind me asking which additional line you chose?
Thanks!
I use Image Skincare as my second line. I like it because there are similarities due to the fact that Image is formulated by Alure (Alure is owned by Sam Dhatt, owner of DQ). I must say I still prefer DQ over Image as a whole but it's increased my sales tremendously to have a good quality product that is less expensive. The similarities have also made it easy to switch clients over to Image.
Perfect, thanks. I am familar with Image, it was one of the skincare lines carried by a Medi-Spa I used to work at. I didnt realise it was less expensive than Dermaquest, so this is great news! Thanks so much for your help!
Yes they are paraben free.
