I have a couple of teens coming in this week, I believe they are 15-16 (girls). I know the consensus is usually no massage of any kind, is that correct? I will of course have the parent sign a parental agreement but should I consult with the parents on their stand with the massage for face/neck/shoulders/hands and arms? Maybe ask the teen if they are ok with it or just not do it at all?
Just curious what others are doing in this situation. Thanks!!
I offer a free Eye brow shaping as an introductory special with the teen facial. Because I have two teenagers of my own, I see many of their friends. It usually starts off as me just "cleaning up" their eyebrows but ends up having a teen facial scheduled as their next appointment. I had 3x5 cards printed up advertising the teen facial. Super easy to hand out and it gives a detailed description of what to expect. While the mom is waiting for her teen, I offer her a detox tummy wrap at a special price too. It only takes a couple minutes to apply under her clothing, she gets Firmed, toned & tightened and your making an extra profit as well.

I just basically did the steps of a facial, skipping all the massage. I cleansed, exfoliated, extracted, then put a mask on. While the mask was on, I just charted what products I used and talked to him, as he was in talk mode. After I took the mask off, I put a treatment product on his breakouts, and an oil free moisturizer. It was more of an express facial, which is what I described above. We customize and (for lack of a better term) improvise at times, depending on the client's needs.
