Thoughts on Equinox?

Hi Everyone,

I have been offered a position at Equinox in New York and wonder if anyone has or is working there. Since their main focus is fitness and not skin care I am a little hesitant but figured starting out part time is a good way to feel it out. I am currently at a skin care boutique that has no volume whats so ever.. EXTREMELY frustrating, so I have decided to weigh out my options. For anyone who has worked there, your feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

Many of our employees over the years have worked there, but mainly massage therapists.

Skin care in a fitness center is a much harder sell than massage. You should definitely ask them about down time (MTs have to do chair massage and wander the floor promoting the services).

I know they paid MTs on a "greater of hourly or commission" and if the same is true for skin care, it is probably going to be the hourly more often than not.
