Hello~

I am new into the business and have had a few calls from ladies wanting me to tint their brows and lashes. I have not done this but would like more info on this service so I can offer it. My question is, where did you get your training and what line do you use?

Thank you!

Cece- explain how you do it! I'm still trying to get a handle on the closed eye technique- shorter lower lashes seem more challenging to get well.

Oh and I forgot to say look around at the spas in your area and see what they charge. I charge $22 for lash or brow tint but in my area people charge all the way up to $40 for lash or brow tint.

If you get the brows too dark, facial toner will help lighten it and remove any mistakes on the skin. I discovered that trick when I used to color my own hair. I would always get it around my hairline and after trying everything in my bathroom, I finally figured out that toner will remove it. So when I started tinting lashes and brows, this came in handy. :)

Since this topic was bumped up again, I wanna ask...

I was not taught this in esthetics school... I thought Esty's licenses don't cover tinting?? Do I have this wrong?

I'm in CA, if it matters.

im still in school and we were taught tinting.. i live in colorado

What's covered by a normal esty license varies a lot from one state to another, so it's ALWAYS best to check with your own state board to find out for sure.

Definitely don't base it on what you hear from suppliers, as you don't know whether they have the most current information. Rules change all the time!

I'm in Ca. I believe that only Cosmos are allowed to do this.

In Texas tinting is allowed-dyeing is not!
