Hi!

I am new in this discussion.

I own a spatula. Yesterday I worked on a client, and after a facial she got some rush near right eye. This was the first time that a client had irritation. I did exfoliation on her and penetration/lifting on a serum and then on a gel mask.

Please help. Did anybody experience any side efects using ultrasound spatula? I  bought this spatula a month ago / has a cord, is powerful, from good well known manufacturer/.

She said that she felt more warmth near her right eye than on her left side

Shelly, I watched your video on YouTube and follow your recommendations and technique.

Please help! I am afraid she will have a permanent scar.

If you don't have adequate product then the spatula gets too warm and can affect the skin.  You shouldn't work closer to the eye then the orbital bone.  Have her start a botanical skin lightener to help reduce PIH.

Beth, thank you very much. This is very helpful.

I agree with Beth...always make sure there is enough product on the skin. Especially if your spatula is quite powerful. Also, don't spend too much time, don't overdo it.

Thank you very much, Shelley for your comment. I think, this is exactly what I did: I spent to much time on her doing penetration and lifting with microcurrent.

I agree with Shelly on the possible cause, at this point I would treat her skin as wounded and work on supporting the healing process with products for sensitive skin, no exfoliants and a serum that has the same make up as the lipid barrier-ceramides, EFA's etc. Lightening products will only work when the skin is well hydrated an healed. I actually did the same thing to my own face when I got mine and did not have a permanent scar.
