Do you have a particular "uniform" that you wear when you are working with clients?  Ot doesn't matter if you are on your own or working for a spa, I am curious.  I know a lot of people wear lab coats or aprons to look more professional, but just doesn't seem comfortable.

Sometimes I wear scrubs, I got these really comfy one from Uniform City, the Wonder Wink 4 stretch....AWESOME., but then sometimes I wear black pants, sometimes yoga pants with a black rhinestone top with my logo, but Ia m sick of that.  I just recently got these really cute rauched workout Martika Tek shirts and although they are for working out, I just put my name tag on and they actually look really cute.

So I am just curious, what does everyone else wear?  I would like to find a nice collared sports material type shirt (something breathable) and maybe get it embriodered.  I know they have Esthetician or Spa professional type clothes but I can't see spending that kind of money for a pair of pants.

Thanks!!

Awesome!  I love this!  I was feeling too workoutish but because of you ladies I purchased more.....BLACK YOGA PANTS!!  Woohoo! LOL

TOday I did long skirt with black top, had a lunch meeting and decided to get a little FANCY!

Thanks for the feedback.  I love this forum for this very reason.

I love wearing my yoga pants because they are comfortable and I also do massage as well so it's the most comfy. I use to dress up when I first started in the biz (probably because my first job was in a high end salon) so I was inspired to be fashionable but as soon as I left the salon scene and went to a more quiet relaxed place I changed up a lot so I could still present myself in a pro manner and be comfy for work longevity! AND realized my clients eyes are closed for 60 plus minutes! LOL :)

Awesome topic!  Thank you, Sheila!  This is one I have struggled with!  I feel so informal in my yoga pants and T-shirt with my logo, but it really offers me the most flexibility when working with a client (doing massage, facials and waxing).  And because I travel as a mobile skin therapist as well, I need to be able to be dressed to carry my bed and equipment.  I've considered the more formal spa uniform as well as wearing a nice dress and boots with a lab coat and while both "look" great, I just feel so unnatural and a bit confined.  So, I always end up in my black yoga pants and my t-shirt (with apron when I wax).  I think as long as what we wear is clean and wrinkle-free and that our hair, makeup and nails are groomed and our jewelry is minimal and out of the way, no one really cares.  Our clients are there to be pampered, not to judge our uniform, right?
