What is the most successful advertising you have ever done to build clientele?
I am a new esthetician and am very excited about getting started. I am considering doing some advertising. I'm not sure what would be best so thought I would see what you guys thought. What have you found to be the most successful? I live in a college town...

I own a salon and here are some things that have worked for us:
1. Join the Chamber of Commerce in the area and attend any networking events
2. Our newspaper has a supplement called the Weekend that comes in the paper every Thursday and we've had good luck advertising in that. It doesn't need to be a large ad.
3. Printed postcards with Vista Print. We've mailed some, handed out some, taken some to businesses in the area.

What a great post! Maybe you could do a special about spray tans or bikini waxing for spring break! Usually college students go somewhere for spring break, that could be a great way to draw in business!
