I've been thinking about adding essential oils into my facial practice, and met with a Young Living rep (yes, it's a MLM company, which I said I would never look into), but I was extremely impressed with the company, the education they provide, and how they are so very proud of their own farms where they cultivate these oils and how they are extracted and bottled. These are 100% therapeutic essential oils. Anyone use these or where do you purchase your essential oils if you use any? Thanks so much.

I've heard some really good things about YL as an MT over 13 years-however, I think they are way over-priced-gotta pay all that upline! I've used some from Rocky Mountain that I like-but honestly haven't much of a call-so only use a few. It does take some research.
I have used YLO on myself for years but have never done the MLM part of the business. They are excellent therapeutic oils but must be used with caution and knowledge. For instance, many of them need to be diluted with oil, like fractionated coconut oil, before applying to the skin. But YLO essential oils are very pure and some of the best on the market in my opinion. You will be required to purchase a minimum of 50 PV monthly if you become a distributor and the discount off the retail price is only about 30%, with shipping and tax added on that 50 PV order can cost about $70 or so. For me they've worked nicely and whenever I order I always feel its money well spent.
Hi Debbie ! i have used Young living, before and while they are great. I discovered do-Terra. its the same idea (MLM) but i LOVE their oils much better and they are also 100% therapeutic. I don't sell it or do MLM, i just barter with a friend that sells it ;) anyway, check them out, and if you would like her name and contact info, i can give it to you.
I have used and stll use a few of the YLEO's.
Some of the oils are wonderful...and there are 3 that I will continue to get.
But overall, the claims are over the top...which is consistent with most mlm companies...I don't have experience with Doterra, but I suspect it's the same over-hype.
Now - the main reason that I stay away from these oils are the people that sell it.
They are absolutely zealots about using the oils for every condition under the sun...that's fine I guess but what they DO is diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments to everyone that they talk to.
Totally inappropriate! Because the sellers are for the most part, NOT professionals, they are evidently unaware that practicing medicine without a license is not legal. :)
Thanks to all for the feedback; I guess this is why I always shy away from MLM companies. I've decided to go to a local place and just purchase a few therapeutic essential oils to use in my practice. Thanks so much again!
