I know that brazilians are a money maker, but I just can't seem to get the proper technique down! (after 4 years)

Can anyone suggest online videos or websites that would have tutorials? I use Lycon Wax (from Glo Therapeutics).

I use to use Lycon wax but didn't really like it for brazilians. Have you tried other waxes? I switched to Berins blue wax from Eva's esthetics and love it. It's much more plyable. Lori Nestor's "the wax queen" video is pretty good.

thanks, jennifer. i'm pretty new to the lycon wax, and love it for brows, facial hair, etc. i haven't used it yet for any other part of the body. i feel like i've never been very good at hard wax and pulling it off using the fingers. i was hoping there were some online tutorials on different waxing techniques (where i don't have to purchase a video). thanks for letting me know about Berins blue wax though!

Remember when waxing with hard wax to press shiny side to side so your not having to flick the ends of the wax with your fingers so much. I save the last piece I remove and press it into the wax I just applied before its too dry. This way it creates a tab used to pull the wax. Hope this helps!
The wax chic has a new DVD coming out called "the wax Whisperers" it's 5 hours of waxing, female and male brazilians and everything in between... You can Look her up online. She is also on here..
Her name is Crickett Enos.

Thanks for the Shout Out Angel:)

Hey Sara, I also do private training as well so that's an option.

Can you tell me why you think you aren't getting the technique?  What, in your opinion do you specifically need to work on?  Is it timing of the service, use of the wax....  I also have a few tutorials on my website on how to use hard wax in general. www.thewaxchick.com

Hey Crickett,

You nailed it - the technique, exactly where to stop removing hair (body area). I need to work on timing, the use of the wax, maybe use a different wax. Also, when hair grows in two different directions really close together, I am not pulling it correctly and end up having to trim more ... it's a mess and I'm sure the client doesn't want to come back to me. I want to be seasoned in this and not feel nervous. I am going to check the tutorials on your website too.

my go to was, the whole ball of wax, eva esthetics... my best advice... become passionate about waxing... im obsessed with prrfecting technique and am always educating myself on tech, types of wax, and tricks that can be used... i love the lycon for brazilians, but their technjque is a nit different... i shggest tge lyvon lycojet. you can ask ur rep fir the free dvd and product manual

Thanks Amy. That helps. The salon owner where I'm at suggested a website called behindthechair.com and said there were brazilian wax videos - I haven't found any, however.

Sara,  I have a Brazilian waxing dvd The Secret Life of Brazilian waxing available here http://shop.thewaxchick.com/Educational-DVDs_c2.htm  You see so much technique, tips and tricks that will really help improve your waxing.  You see how to work with all types and lengths of hair and how to apply and remove when hair is growing in different directions.  It's about 4 hours long with 6 or so demos and an FAQ section.

Sweet, Crickett! Also, do you offer wholesale pricing for professionals? I'm looking to purchase in the near future a hard wax from you.

i just ordered her wax, crickett, and i love it.  the wax is forgiving, unlike lycojet which is specifically a speed wax.  takimg to long with it will make it brittle.  it has to be pulled just as it sets.  great for brizilians cause thoe tech allows for hair growing in all directioms...  so u dont have to stress if your laying or pulling the right way.  its all about locking the hair in the wax by using a back and forth direction when applying.  cricketts beelicious is beautiful consistancy and does not get brittle quickly.  it seems avtually that the body temp keeps is pliable.  ive omly felt it brittle after pulling and its been sitting for a bit.  her prices aer great.  ive invested in many kinds of wax, and have used expensive and inexpensive waxes.  imo, its worth investting a bit more, i find in the long run, you save cause u need less.  berrins make my favorite soft, creme wax.  though, inhave been using lycon rossette and like it alot.  you can lay large areas and pull with a single peice of pellon.  real fast and efficent.  professional wax is not sold to non pros, so there is no retail,or wholesale pricing...
