Mandelic, it is amazing and will not cause any reaction due to their aspirin allergy.

It's good to see that you are careful with your clients!

For HP there are a lot of peels and peel blends that would help.

I start out a little conservatively with an enzyme before introducing a Lactic or Vit C peel, then move up into a glycolic with optional microdermabrasion, and have used a light TCA peel from Skin Script.

It really depends on their skin type and condition.  I have used mandelic blends mostly for acneic clientele- but be alert as some of the blends DO include salicylic

many peels do not have sal in them.  I really like Circadia peels.  The have lactic 30 and 45; also research a peel with mandelic acid.  its perfect for hyperpigmentation.  check skinseuticals to see if theres has sal.  also, be sure to get client on vit c products to break up pigmentation and brighten skin. my fav is circadia vit c reversal serum.  they also have light veil brightner and brite white serum, which are amazing.  i use these peroducts personally, and professional... the results have impressed me.  peels alone wont rid issue, client has to be faithful with good homecare.  ive had best results doing a series of micros with a peel after.  i graduate stregnth of peel each session.  the last few i use the skinseutical mandelic peel.  her spots lifted off after 6th treatment.  let client know that hyperpigmentation get darker before it sheds off as deeper pigmentation lifts to surface.  good luck.  fun stuff to treat, as the outcome is so exciting.

There are a lot of good peels that do not contain sal. Glymed has some great TCA's that target, and pull up pigment. TCA's are the best out there for pigment
