I am thinking if registering for the two-day seminar in NY (one if which is hands on) Anyone ever attend and/or currently use this peel?

Hi Isabella,

I've attended the Skin Biology and Chemical Peel seminar and got certified last year.  I am very happy with PCA Skin using their gentle but effective peels and their excellent products! I'm still new to peels, this is the first line that I felt confident to use on clients that don't burn to the extreme or have as much downtime as traditional TCA and other peels do.  Right now I'm only promoting the Sensi Peel and Ultra Peel 1 since they're gentle and can be used on any skin types. Sensi peel is amazing, it has improved acne, hyperpigmentation, etc. I'm also using the Clarifying Masque (20% salicylic acid in it) as an acne facial and I've seen great results in improving their acne and gives a nice soft glow. I'd go for it, I'm sure the hands on seminar is probably a great learning experience! If you get certified and ever want to chat with me about PCA Skin, feel free to do so. I'd love to talk to another Esthetican that is using this line too. =)

Thank you so much for the info, good to know!
Great inquiry, Isabella.  PCA has a great reputation and I recently requested information on their courses as I too would like to take it here in the Phoenix area.  I believe it is very comprehensive and they have good offers towards products when you spend money on the courses.  Wish I could help you more but it is my intention in the future to take some of their courses.  I know others on this link will help you out.  I see lots of postings by esties who use PCA.  Good luck.
yes I have attended their training. It was VERY good! Well worth the money. And I believe they give you part of that back towards product

Hi Isabella,

PCA is a great company with excellent products.  I've been certified doing peels now for about 5 months. I had cystic acne around my jawline that is now gone after 5 months of using the products and peels.  I switched over all of my teen acne clients to the home care products & peels with excellent results.  Being new to peels I also took the Peel Fundamentals class that allows you to bring your own model. You do a peel on your model and on another attendee.

With both the Skin Biology and Chemical Peel, and Peel Fundamentals class you receive a kit full of products that will have you prepared to get started.  The text book (my new bible) :o) is packed with information and step by step instructions that are easy to follow and info on home care products.  In the back of the book they have marketing information that helps with pricing your services.

I've been using Rhonda Allison peels and really like them because I get great results.  Their customer service is also super.  I started by reading Rhonda's book on peels then bought a few products focusing on acne and aging issues.  I knew is had to be careful with hyperpigmentation so i did a lot of questioning of my clients before using them.  I not only liked the results but i love that i can email them and they get back to me with recipes for my particular situation.  Unfortunately they haven't had any classes in my area but i've learned a lot just looking at their videos.

I also tried PCA.  For me, they just didn't give the results i was looking for, but everyone's expectations is different.

Hi Denise,

I have just started using the PCA peels and like them a lot so far.  I have a client with some cystic acne and was wondering what treatment(s) you did to eliminate yours around your jawline (hooray!)

Thanks :)

Hi Madeleine,

I use a combination of home care products from the Anti-Aging (oily) and Breakout Control Solutions and peels. I use the Sensi, PCA Peel HQ-free and Pumpkin Peel.  I'm a Fitz III, 46 yrs old, of Spanish descent, oily with occasional breakouts and some PIH so I also use the Brightening Therapy with TrueTone. This stuff works like a charm!  I also used the Detox Gel Treatment at least 7 days after a peel.  Cystic Acne has a long "lifetime" of about 3 months once they are detected so be sure that your client understands that it will take time so they need to have patience and stick to their home care regimen.  My skin has never been this clear or balanced. I'm no longer T zone oily and don't have anymore breakouts YEA!!

Let me know how it turns out for your client!

Wow Isabella!  That is so inspiring.  Thank you so much for sharing that with me.  And so true about the long lifespan of the cysts, I shall inform my client and will let you know how things develop.
