Those anyone have more information on this topic. I have been selling gift certificates but do not have expiration dates on them, because I saw that is the law in Florida. However, I been notice a lot of salons and spas around the area that have expiration dates, or am I misunderstanding this law.

That is correct. You can use an expiration date if the gift certificate is a gift for which the person receiving the gift certificate has not paid for it (you give your client a give certificate as a gift for being a good customer). Otherwise, no expiration date at all. :-( That sucks because it messes with your bookkeeping.
