lasers

Hello, I am considering a move to Florida and am wondering if state laws allow estheticians to use lasers? Here in New York State, we are not allowed to.

only for laser hair removal.

laser for rejuvenation or treatment of certain skin conditions can only be performed here by doctors, derms, or nurse practitioners. laser hair removal can only be performed by licensed electrologists, though, some doctors will write you off as their 'assistant' and will give you some basic training then you can perform LHR under his supervision.

Sorry I meant you can be an Eathetician but yes have to be an electrologist as well. I know some still perform others under dr care but really it's against our scope and if anything were to happen we could lose license!! You are correct!!
