Would any of you be interested in starting a Home-Based Skin Care Association?

Do you think this sort of association would be beneficial to yourselves and other skin care professionals?

Does this sort of organization currently exist? If so, please provide the website.

Thanks a bunch!

Hello Deborah B. and Deborah H. thanks for replying! I have a few ideas in mind, but I first would like to collect a tally of how many skin care professionals (from this group) would be interested in a home-based skin care association. Personally, it’s been extremely challenging trying to find the ins & outs of starting this sort of business. Fortunately, I’ve picked up bits and pieces along the way. Please let me know if either of you would like to discuss further - offline. Thanks again!

Hi Lugenia, :)

The discussion is interesting and should keep those interested in the subject in touch. I think the first point to be observed in order to create an association that everyone can participate  is to check first  which state of U.S.  allow an esthetician to open a room treatment at home.

Hi Sulie, thanks so much for taking the time to respond.

Yes, I agree with you regarding policy/requirements for each state or at least states with participating estheticians, and although there may be some differences, it would be great to have a place of reference regarding home-based skin care therapists.

Hi Lugenia,

I agree to find a place of reference regarding home_based skincare for you can see policy/requirements for each state.

Lugenia nice that you have answered my comment. I still do not understand how this forum works..kkkk. When a topic is started and many people are interested to become responsive you lose completely the first person who started it. I'm seeing more than 280 members reporting their experiences in working with skincare at home. But the idea of founding an association was not discussed further. Maybe you have to open a page especially for this issue. The idea you gave came within the page Home-Based Esthetician from Julia Elliot. The 280 members who are the subject of the topic page belong to  Julia where she's commenting about the room treatmente she has at home. I think you have to open a page for this matter. What you think?

Hi Sueli, yes, the Home-Based Esthetician forum was started by Julia Elliot, and yes, it appears to be close to 211 members, but I’m unsure of the activity of the its members. I joined (of course) when I was blessed to move my business from a salon to home. I was in search of some directions, i.e. rules, regulations, just simple ideas, and experiences from seasoned professionals. From my observation, there are only a few who provide comments and freely share their experiences – which is GREATLY APPRECIATED! However, participation isn’t required; therefore, if it was not for those who share, it appears as if there wouldn’t be much activity. This is why I brought up starting an association, because certain folks would be required to maintain his or her portion, and information would be available and updated for those in search of home-based skincare businesses. Now, we just need to know how to get it started! :-)
