Nadia, how soon after the microdermabrasion do you do the peel? Do you like to use a certain kind of peel?

I have been a non-fan of microderm for quite a few years now. Mostly just because I got bored with the technology after using it since 1988! I've used both the crystal and the diamond. I've tried a couple of unusual ones I found at Shows a few years ago but still couldn't get excited again. I was recently introduced to the Dermasweep by an Esty that had purchased one. I really like it and so do my clients. Yes, it's not cheap but definitely not as expensive as I've paid in the past for other microderm machines. You can read about it on my website at : www.shelleyhancock.com

@Nadia,  what kind of peel would you layer after the microdermabrasion treatment?

I've looked in to the Dermasweep but find it a bit pricey for my budget.  I've been seeing this 6 in 1 unit by Nova N96 selling for $800.  I can't seem to find any comments on the unit.  Has anyone heard of this unit, used it or know someone who has used it?  It's an exhausting process to research new equipment.  Does anyone know what type specifications a diamond microdermabrasion machine should have that qualify it as a good unit?  Is there a standard?  I guess what I'm getting at is that how to we measure the qualities of a good unit versus a bad one?  Price alone should not be a measure.

Microdermabrasion is my most profitable service in a plastic surgeon office that I am in and has been since I have become a Medical Esthetician 6 years ago.. its great for layering a peel afterward for even better results!
