Changes the name, number of members, and the composition of the Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners and the educational requirement for a licensee.
Abstract:
HB 2069 -- Cosmetologists and Barbers Sponsor: Cierpiot This bill changes the laws regarding the Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners within the Department of Insurance, Financial Institutions and Professional Registration and the licensure of cosmetologists and barbers. The bill: (1) Renames the Board of Cosmetology and Barber Examiners to the Board of Cosmetology and Barbers; (2) Reduces the number, from 11 to seven, and the composition of the board by requiring only one member, instead.

I think every state should require CEU's. Too many are not educating themselves and they should be. You learn something new at every event/show you attend. Things are constantly changing and we have to keep on top of them.
