Wondering if any of you are using or have had experience using an autoclave.  I am interested in purchasing one for my practice and would appreciate any feed-back, experience, knowledge or advice anyone may have.  I wouldn't imaging that I need a very large autoclave considering that I will be sterilizing my small tools.

THANK YOU!

My state does not require an autoclave.

We just need a wet sanitizer (they just look for those barbacide ones).

I also use an enzyme cleaner/disinfectant with those trays for my microdermabrasion tips and dermafiles.

That's quite an expensive piece of equipment - have you checked into whether or not this is a requirement?

California requires that we use a hospital grade disinfectant-such as Barbacide and that all implements such as tweezers, extractors and dermafiles be stored in a UV sanitizer.  So, it's not required, but I just want the peace of mind that all my instruments are as clean as they can possibly be. :)

I did see 16 liter-steam autoclaves selling on line for $300 to $500....not to bad of a price for the peace of mind that you would get knowing that your instruments are sterilized and not just sanitized.
