Hi everyone,

I'm currently traveling doing mobile wax parties and freelancing as a makeup artist, but I'm in the process of renting an esthetics room. I graduated about a year ago and was trained with Image Skin Care which i plan on using as my main product line, but I'm also considering using H2T products and iLike Organics products. How many skin care lines would be to much? do you suggest sticking to one? and if i use multiple lines should i retail only one or all of them? Please let me know what you think or have experienced with mixing or not mixing lines! Thank you!

Hi Tatiana :)

I am currently using 3 different lines (gloTherapeutics, Skin Script and Peace Spa) with a few masks purchased through Universal Companies for good measure. I have great results when mixing these lines but I cannot speak to anything else. Peace Spa has a nice (but small) organics line that I also incorporate.  I think it is perfectly fine to dip into several different lines for your treatments but sticking to 1 or 2 if you intend to retail.  I used to retail gloTherapeutics and gloMinerals but have phased them out in favor of the SS and Peace due to the fact that they only sell to esties. Both these lines have travel kits too which are a great way to have a nice stock available without breaking the bank :) Good luck!!!

Thanks for the input Ann, I think im going to stick to retailing H2T and Image, but plan on mixing lines for my services. What masks do you use from Universal Companies? They have so many i don't even know where i should begin with trying them but i've thought about incorporating some into my services.
I am curious about H2T line...I have noticed that several esties on this board use it...the mask I continue to love from Universal is their Alaska Glacial Mud line...I really love the earthy aroma of the lavender/peppermint and for oily skin it is great. I do however find that if it sits a little too long it is not so easily removed, so I have taken to adding a liquid product to it before applying...Universal also has these ampules from a company called Rosa Graf that I like use. or sometimes one of their facial massage oils...about 5-7 drops. Feel free to message me if you want to talk about treatment ideas! I am always trying something new :)

H2T is a great line, I'm just beggining to dap into their products but they have two amazing PH balancing foam to cream cleansers that smell amazing. One is made for all skin types, very gentle but super effective at removing makeup and leaves my skin feeling so soft, this is my personal face wash choice. They also offer the same cleanser in a acne/teen formula and they have a great 30% Glycolic peel that i keep at home also. The only thing is H2T isn't available online currently and ive been driving to but these products.

And thank you for the input on the masks, i think im going to order a couple to try out!

Tatiana,

It's just good business to bring in whatever it takes to get the results you want.

I think the only challenge is what to choose for retail.

So I would probably lean towards using one for my main retail to START and as you grow and become familiar with more products add in either a complete 2nd line of retail OR just the products that you know you can recommend and sell.

That's my plan anyway.

YMMV

Thanks Cindy,

thats a good point. I definitely plan on starting with one main retail line, which will be Image and then maybe expanding that once ive played with my services a little more and find what products like you say that i know i can sell and reccomend.
