I am evaluating makeup lines for professional photography & weddings with option to resale. Any suggestions? Looking at Mineral Hygienics and Era by Classified Cosmetics so far. Also interested in any correspondence makeup artistry courses if you know of any reputable options!
I love Glo Minerals! My clients love it as well. It is all mineral make up and has 4 difference foundations that have different variations of coverage. Hope this helps....Michele
I started out as a makeup artist 9 years ago and then added skin care and waxing about 3 years ago. Most of my experience has been makeup for commercial photography. If your looking for a mineral makeup I would go with Young Blood. For photography purposes I think all mineral powders are too reflective. Face Atelier is the best overall foundation I've ever used. It's silicone based with a light feel and gives you the best photo finish. When it comes to professional use airbrush makeup can't be beat, but it's not ideal for retail sales.
Thanks, Maria. This is good feedback and something I was concerned about (the reflective properties of mineral makeup). The Era makeup is an airbrush type foundation because it comes in aerosol form, so I'm trying it out as of today. Not sure how it actually compares though... Thanks for the Face Atelier recommendation as well.
EMANI Minerals! It is so great, the colors and the texture. I have a friend who does amazing make up and she reps for them now. AND... the highest price point is ONLY $32 retail. That in itself is incredible. Bonus is that it is made right here in the US. Los Angeles I think. Great stuff!!
