I use Dermalogica skincare line. It's not exactly easy on the wallet to get started but you do get a substantial supply of backbar product and the supply of retail in initial order fills your shelves. If you focus on retailing the products that get results for your clients you will make your money back quickly. They offer a diverse, quality line. The area reps are very knowledgeable and also help with promtional events. There are no minimum monthly order requirements and there are no restrictions on using, promoting or selling other products in your business.

I am also using NeriumAD with my clients as a nightly, home maintenance routine. It is new and is showing great results in reducing fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, evening out skin texture, etc. www.holdofftime.com. Make sure to check out the science info. This product was accidentally discovered by MD Anderson (the #1 cancer research co) while doing research for skin cancer. During case studies they discovered that the candidates were seeing changes in the appearance of their skin and then began developing this product for the skincare market.

To be completly upfront, NeriumAD is a new product developed by Nerium Skincare, a division of Nerium BioScience. They have decided to market this product through relationship marketing and it is how I discovered the product. As mentioned in one of the replies, I understand that there might be some aversion to selling something that anyone can sell. The advantage that I see with this product is that is this is a breakthrough product that the dermal anti-aging industry will be hearing more about soon. When people start hearing about this product your clients are going to be asking for it and you don't want to send them to someone else to buy it....You want to be their single-source for their skincare needs. I decided to offer it in my business as a complimentary product because the results are amazing and I want my clients to see results.....and I want them to come to me for all of their skincare solutions. It will serve as an additional income stream and as my client base builds I will see residual income from resales that I don't have to handle the product. I won't BS you. I am in business to make money. I choose to do it by helping people with their skin.

I have one client who has been dealing with perioral dermatitis for over a year. She had stopped coming for facials and was resorting to washing her face with vinegar. After using NeriumAD for 7 days her face is clearing up amazingly. Now perioral dermatitis is not an indication for this product but the results are indisputable. Exciting stuff.

You can retail this product and also offer a very simple (&free) auto-order option to your clients. This means you don't have to order and keep so much product on-hand. I am also a certified laser technician (Cynosure) and love providing laser solutions for my clients. If anyone is interested in laser work my advice it so find a way to get training and certification specifically from a laser manufacturer. I was able to get laser theory that was understandable and applicable and provided actual hands-on laser training. If you ever look into laser training make sure to ask if they provide hands-on training (where the laser is actually on). You would be suprised at the training courses I looked at that they only offered 'simulations'. Training with real models, real lasers and working with real machine settings is the best way to learn, in my opinion.

As you can see, in addition to my facial and waxing business, I have several different income streams. In this economy I had to get creative and diverse. Just some ideas and advice for my fellow estheticians.

We use Glotherapeutics...Works amazingly and the retail sells extremely well. Worth looking into.
