I wondered if any of you fellow esties also use Emu Oil? I Absolutly love it for my own skin, and have  seen nothing but great results for my clients, even the clients with oily prone skin. I find that having used it this last year, I have had so many positive comments not only about my skin, but in regards to how the public is seeing my clients skin!

I think it feels great to have someone say to me " No way are you 45!"... Well, it IS a perk of the trade, and using great products...

I invite you all to let mw know what YOU think.... REAL or Bogus?

I worked in a medical spa that sold emu oil and I found it particularly useful after chemical peels, microderms, and laser treatments.  I haven't purchased any since leaving that company and personally only used it in combination with other moisturizers or after my own home chemical peels.

Glad you enjoy it!

I read an article about Emu oil a few months ago and thought about getting some, but never have. Where are you getting yours from?  I'd like to start using it.

Ruby, I purchase mine directly from here: http://www.thunderridgeemu.com/index.cfm

While you CAN find it on Ebay, and at some healthfood stores, nothing compares to actually TALKING to someone when you have a question, or to just order. And the price is about the same.

For a wholesale status you do have to order $100 min, but that is alot of product. Anne, who owns the company, grew up here in MI, and now owns Thunder Ridge Emu in the Shenandoah Mountains.

I have never tried it. It's nice to hear some positive info, and usage.

My vegan clients would NEVER go for it, and I am sure there are a couple of PETA members that might not want to try it.  So it's probably important to let your clients know what it is and how it is obtained.

Cindy, I am very open and upfront about what the product actually is when speaking to clients about it.  Anne farms the produce herself that the birds consume, and every last inch of the bird is used, they aren't used purely for the oil's sake. It is also located in a very nice area, if you are ver in her vicinity, you should pop on by!
