Hello Skin Scripts Skin Therapist. I am new to the SS line. I was wondering instead of using baking soda is there another alternative for the peels. Any product suggestions??? I have only worked with self neutralizing peels. Thank you, have a great day.

I most often use the DMAE Neutralizer from Hale Cosmeceuticals. It's not for everyone, dmae doesn't smell good. But it is a neutralizer and has firming properties.

Otherwise - go ahead and make up the baking soda solution, label a container and just replace it every so often. Once you get used to the routine, it's really easy. Any problems from baking soda are always from using it directly on skin or at too high of a concentration. Baking soda is a pH of about 9 even when highly dilute.

Thank you Cindy for the info :)
