Just curious to see what application methods other esthies use...
I don't know why - but I have gotten away from fan brushes and tend to use my hands more...
I use small glass bowls and remove the correct amount of enzyme or masque into the bowl with a spatula. Then I start applying to the face, usually starting at forehead and moving down for enzymes but often chin moving up for masques. I hate cleaning messy fan brushes!
For peels, I decant 1 or two pumps into glass bowl then apply with a peel applicator swab or a corner of an esthetic wipe (for the TCA).
Does anyone have a clever or unique way of applying product?
I used my hands at first and one day plumb forgot and started using a fan brush. My client was like "What is that? That feels so good!" And of course in my head I was like ummm, it's a brush. Haha. Anyway. Now I always use the brush for both. Everyone seems to think it feels nicer.
I have probably close to as many different brushes for various special skin treatments as I do for makeup i.e., especially for eye treatments.
love using my brushes for so many things, but to answer you I use soft fan brushes for peels, and esthetic wipes depending on the peel and how I think it should be applied to each individual. I've never gotten to love the swab applicator for some reason. And I use spatulas, fans and a angled soft brush for masques depending on the texture of the masque ...
Oh and I use gloves when applying serums as I don't want my fingertips to drink in the serum. But as with us all our hands are at the end of the day the best tools we have :)
