I am looking at Bontanical Science as a private label for my skin care; however, imo do nir have "back bar" so I was thinking of using SS peels & enzyme. Has anyone heard of this company and know whether their products would be compatible with SS.

I just recently heard of it and had them send me information.  Seems like a basic line. I thought the did have backbar...just have to buy the bigger size which I didn't like.  I like using retail size for backbar because I am not established yet.  I am sure anything that you choose will be compatible with ss peels and enzymes.  Are you planning on private labeling your own line or did you juist use the products and like them?

I think that Vanessa means Pro only products - like enzymes, peels or masques - not the sizes.

And as I recall, she is correct.

IMO, I prefer the Skin Script retail products, and I sampled the entire BST line.

Lol oohhhhh Duh!!

LOL also!  I'm glad we can all laugh at ourselves (specifically me when I read things too quickly and read them wrong!)

Hi Vanessa:

Any skin care line can be compatible with Skin Script.  For instance, you can use different cleansers, moisturizers, toners, etc.  I have also mixed other companies' chemical peels into enzymes.  The thing you want to watch out for here is "know how each product behaves and works individually before you start mixing".  For example, one aesthetician made the mistake of mixing Rhonda Allison's 40% Lactic with my Lemon Zest - that peel is way too strong to be mixed with Lemon and put under steam.  I use a mild lactic, such as a 20% to mix.

Let me know if you have questions.  Lisa

Yes that's what I meant, a pro line. I like SS but I really want to do my own line. I have tried the BS line and I like it really well. At least what I tried and I need to think about my clientele, ie initial cost tothem

Vanessa - BST is a good line to choose if you are looking for low initial investment.

You can buy the clear address labels and print up your name/logo yourself - and there is room on the products to simply attach the label.

I was going to go with them but just didn't like the products well enough - I really want to LOVE the line I use. I also looked into My Sacred Fig.  I was getting kind of depressed because I wanted to use and offer something more impressive than either of these lines...and how can you SELL products that you don't use yourself?

As a last resort, I contacted Skin Script - I really didn't think that I would be able to afford an opening order and did not hae the finances to buy into a BIG line. To my surprise and relief they responded back right away and I could see that I COULD afford a professional, effective, affordable, and versatile line.

In my area clients are cost conscious too. But I don't care how CHEAP something is - if it doesn't give results then it is not a good value. And they might as well keep buying that stuff from the Mary Kay lady down the street.

Bottom line - if you LOVE and USE the products yourself, it will probably be a good fit for YOU and your clients!

Well said!!!!

Thanks, Cindy.  I have tried a few of their things and I do really like them.  If I was not going toward private label skin care, I would either go with Skin Script or Eva's Esthetics, both of which I really like.

My clients are more than cost conscious, they are cheap.  A lot of African American do not see the benefits of using a good skin care line because we do not age as quickly.  Hopefully, I will be able to change their minds.

I also look into Sacred Fig; however, I did not try the products.  I have looked at so many private label companies, and most of them require 6 items per sku.

Thanks everyone for your input.
