I have recently been wondering about layering peels and combining peels. What would be the protocol for skin scripts on doing such things? I know that The TCA peel layers, but what about glycolic and lactic peels ? how many layers can be added with these during one treatment ?  I want to do this on myself to tackle my pigmentation on my cheeks. I put myself on a 6 series lactic peel treatment and have seen some improvement (i've completed my 4th one) but I want to see more of a difference. I am also using the led lights as well....suggestions ?

I personally would now maybe switch over to doing the TCA peel, start off with maybe 2 layers or 3 if you can handle it.

Hi Sandra - you can layer beta peels (TCA), but it doesn't make sense to layer an alpha hydroxy peel (glycolic or lactic), so only one layer.

Are you using the glycolic/retinol pads twice a day on the pigmentation?  Are you using plenty of spf?  Do you have any sun or heat exposure that might be delaying the results?  Also, ensure you finish the entire series before making a judgment.

Yes, I think the LED lights would be wonderful!

Hi Lisa,

I have started back to using the pads, Yes im definitely using the spf and I try to not be in the sun any more than I have to right now while trying to clear this pigmentation up. Yep, I agree with you I need to go through the whole series before doing anything else...Like I said, I can see some difference. But you know how it is : patience is a virtue ! Thanks for the input
