So I just got both sample packs of SS products and have begun testing them on a few close friends and myself. I'm brand new to this line so bare with me. I was trained on Dermalogica but for various reasons don't plan to continue with them. So far I LOVE the SS line but the thing I'm missing is a facial massage product.

I love the enzymes and the peels and the effects they offer. Also,I stand by offering the facial massage as part of my facial services because of the nurturing and care my clients say separates me from other practitioners. Does SS have a emollient rich product that would be good for this step of my facials?

It needs to have a lasting lubricating effect that can be used on even the most sensitive skin. If not, can anyone recommend one they love in conjunction with the SS products?

I use Fx cream from massage warehouse, I love the way it slides(not to oily) and I use it on arms too and great for sensitive skin as well.  I use SS line for everything else.  I think for the massage, you can use what you like and scent it up on essential oils as well.  Good Luck

Fx massage creams have parabens....not my first choice for the face...

Ingredients aren't too horrible...soybean oil is probably made with GMO soybeans though...

Water, Octyl Palmitate, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Glycine max (Soybean) Oil Stearic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Prunus dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Triethanolamine, Botanical Extracts of Malva sylvestris (Wood Mallow), Hedera helix L (Ivy), Parietaria hespera B.D (Pellitory), Cucumis sativus L (Cucumber), Sambicis Nigra (Elder Flower), Arnica Montana, Aloe barbadensis (Aleo Vera) Gel, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Citric Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Imidazlindinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, BHT.

I use the facial therapy massage creme by Bon Vital. It has a a nice glide and is not too heavy. I've also used the seaweed mask by SS for massage.

I use grapeseed with wheat germ oil mixed together :).  You can massage with the nourishing mask as well but they tend to dry up a bit towards the middle to end of the massage.  Control correctives offers a facial massage oil but it's expensive.

My favorite to massage with is the Seaweed mask.  Just ensure they don't have a shellfish or seaweed sensitivity.

Thanks so much! I think the cream suggestions are more up my alley, used the seaweed last night and it got sticky pretty quick so no go there. Aren't we (esth's) all so picky? The peels, enzymes and the protocols that blend the two are stealing my heart. Seems a solid and effective line for my solo practice.... especially since I ordered a microderm today and I'm really looking forward to adding micro derm to these protocols.

Love it....cant wait till I can make some trainings, too bad I just missed the one in portland :(

I'm not sure exactly what "SS" stands for (probably will feel dumb once I do find out); but I can recommend a really good massage cream to you, by "Biotone". I've used the "Biotone Healthy Benefits Oil-free" massage cream (with Green Tea & Pomegranate) for oily skin types; and the "Biotone facial therapy" massage cream for drier skin types. Although, the oil-free one could really cover and be satisfying to all skin types; which is why I ordered this one as my main massage cream for my business. Very lubricating, yet light enough not to be greasy; both "Paraben & Cruelty Free"; pretty impressive ingredients (I am very big on product ingredients); it explains what each ingredient is on the back of the container. Uses very beneficial Botanical Extracts. Biotone has many other awesome massage gels, oils and creams, for face and body, that I have had good experiences with. I will show you the link that you can find Biotone on for the best prices I have found... http://www.universalcompanies.com/search/?q=Biotone&itemsPerPag... I hope this helps!
Vanilla mask which is seasonal but I put it on let it sit for a little bit of water to my hands massage and remove.

Jamie - I haven't tried that yet! I have been using the seaweed masque and like that.

I first started using masques as massage medium when I worked with Hylunia products.  Their massage cream is top notch - contains Hyaluronic Acid - but their anti ox masque worked great for massage. What I like about doing this is that you can layer another masques on top - I often use a collagen sheet masque.

Nina - SS is "Skin Script"

I am sensitized to many Biotone products. I am also a licensed massage therapist so have had plenty of exposure to Biotone.  I don't like or use them personally and really don't like when I get a massage and the therapist uses one of their products (I use organic jojoba in my massage practice - but I don't use jojoba for facial massage during a facial). Always LOOK at ingredients before purchasing or using a product.  If you wouldn't use it on yourself - don't use it on a client (my philosophy anyway).

Yes I do agree with always looking at ingredients, researching & studying product ingredients is why I'm an Esthetician. I'm surprised your sensitized by the Biotone, maybe your allergic to something in Biotone?; on the other hand, I haven't had experience with ALL Biotone products, just the facial ones I mentioned, but it's always possible for a bad skincare line to have a few really good products just as a good skincare line can have a few really bad products. But, its good to know that other Biotone products had this kind of effect on you. Another massage cream I've had a good experience with; not by Biotone; is the "Orange Tea Massage Cream" by Glo Theraputics; I've used this cream many many times; only got good end results. Sometimes when I'm working on more oily, acneic/or sensitive skin types; depending on the condition, I'll just use a water based hydrator/moisturizer; and add some Hyaluronic Serum to it, massage with light steam. I find that to have a really nice effect as well.
