Just wondering from those of you who have experience with the passionfruit enzyme : do you do extractions and massage in the same facial? It seems like it might be too much stimulation in one treatment. I'm planning to run a firming facial special and wondering if I should just do 30 min without extractions and facial massage.

Generally, I use it on mature skin that needs firming, and most times that type of skin doesn't need a lot of extractions (but I always gently try). Based on how they respond to the treatment is how I decide if I will do massage. If they respond well (pink or red), then I might focus massage more on hands, feet and body. If they only get slightly pink is when I'll do more massage or incorporate a modality.
I think you could market it as a firming facial both ways (with and without massage, 30 or 60 minutes) and then adjust your massage to the appropriate body area.
I look forward to everyone else's response on how they use this unique product.

Hi Lisa,
I would like to start using the Passionfruit protocol for neck firming. I have notes that I shouldn't use it on Fitzpatrick types 4,5,6; no hyperpigmentation and no melasma. Is that the case for the neck, too?
After removing the enzyme, I was also wondering if I could use a serum with my Ultrasonic spatula on the flip side to get an intense micro-massage to heat the skin tissue, stimulating blood flow or is that too much stimulation?
Do you have a protocol and time-table just for neck firming?
Marilyn
Marilyn: I say no fitz 4-6 and no pigmentation as I don't want to warm up their melanocyte with this dermal warming. So, I'll let you decide. I would say no on the neck for Fitz 4-6, but yes to neck on Fitz 1-3 if there is no pigmentation issues present.
I don't have a time-table or protocol, but I would suggest a series of 6 (once a week). It takes 3 months to see the true results from collagen stimulation. Expect subtle results of firming the skin; if your client is looking for full skin tightening, think plastic surgery (just want to set expectations so they are happy).

Hi Lisa so if I need to work on firming and the client does have HP from sundamage but that is a concern as well I would Not use the passionfruit enzyme?
Also on another note I had a client that had a bad reaction to the spf. Could it be possibly from the Kukui nut oil? She said she was not aware of a nut allergy tho. Hmm. Just a thought
Hi Cheryl: I think sun damage is different and feel okay using the Passionfruit. It's melasma where I worry about heating the dermis and stimulating that collagen.
Interesting on the SPF; rare occurrences with reactions since it is chemical free. I'm not sure what the culprit could be if there is not a nut allergy. Has she been able to use other sunblocks from other lines? If so, what's the main difference between the two products and maybe we could find a glaring ingredient that she would react to.
okay thanks Lisa .
When I see her I will ask more questions she is a bit hesitant about doing another facial I am trying to be reassuring to her that the Kukui nut oil is not in any of the other products I use so we will see Thanks for your response Have a wonderful day :)
