Lisa-I have a client with melasma that has been using a cream from Dr. called Glytone facial cream and she just recently bought a serum called Peeling Groovy.  She has noticed great difference in skin since using the serum.  I gave her Lemon Zest Peel on Monday and I did notice her melasma had diminished greatly since her last visit.  She also contributes it to less sun exposure.

I suggested the Skinscript glycolic and retinol pads and the toner, but I want to make sure she isnt over doing the glycolic acid since it is 2nd ingredient in the Glytone.   She is willing to try what I suggest.  What else can I recommend to her?

I am just now converting over to using and promoting more skinscript retail.  I had previously only used the peels.  So I am in learning mode. lol

what exactly is this peeling Groovy serum doing?  Exfoliating?

The ingredients are de-ionized water, alpha amino acids, cellulose, urea, vit c, alcohol, dead sea minerals

thanks for your time:)

Hi Robin:

Does this Peeling Groovy serum have a mechanical exfoliation to it?  It's just a straight serum?  If so, I don't see the exfoliation part of it.  When I read about cellulose it can be used as an exfoliating scrub, which makes me think this is a scrub.

Regarding use of the glycolic/retinol pads in conjunction with the Glytone facial cream, it's possible that it could be too much.  However, a lot of times I recommend the Skin Script glycolic cleanser followed by the glycolic/retinol pads for best results.  Using the pads as a toner, then the glytone cream could be really itchy!  You could try it and see.

I hope this helps.  Thanks!

Lisa
