Hi Willie:  My thoughts turn to a toner, moisturizer or spf that was applied and left on the skin.  Since the Lemon Zest was removed, I don't think that would be the culprit.  Can you tell me the toner, moisturizer and spf used?  You might test those products on the inside of her wrist and see if she reacts to any of them to begin the hunt for the culprit.

Hi Willie, did you neutralize your client when you removed the enzyme? Also, I think you mentioned that you used a different mask afterwards. She could have had an allergic reaction to the algae mask, which could cause some of the symptoms you described.

She said it started yesterday and it stings a tiny bit. I suggested putting aloe on it and to keep out of the sun, while investigate. Not sure what to do.

Hello All,

I gave an regular client the Lemon Zest facial w/steam on Friday afternoon, this was the fist time using it on her. She's got some hyperpigmentation from life.

I got an email today asking, "My face is bubbling up a bit and red in places. Is that normal?"

I followed the protocol and only switched out the mask for an algae mask.

I responded with a few questions Does it hurt or is there any irritation? Also, when did this start to happen?

From looking at it, it looks like it is the perimeter of the cotton round that got saturated or didn't get wiped away.

(Sorry, couldn't figure out how to rotate pic.)

Thanks Lisa, will be starting it come Fall Get thru the Summer and kinda take it easy :) But still working at her concerns thru summer a little on the gentle side She certainly has the toughest/resilient  skin I have worked with thus far handles everything great.

Cheryl:  Hum ... I think the spacing between treatment series is a decision for you and your client.  My initial instinct says at least one month, but then again, she is likely prepped and ready to go into the series.  If her skin is as resilient as it sounds, I'd start the series.

sounds good Lisa how long do you normally let the skin rest in between series tx. Her skin barely reacts to services no redness just a bit pink Sometimes :) even with the passionfruit no redness :) and if she wanted to come in every week for a facial (because she loves the relaxation and stress relief) can be more gentle tx? Love the maintenace of lemonzest and TCA layer instead of mask Have to purchaser the TCA and work with it a bit. Thanks

Hi Cheryl:  I like your approach of letting the skin rest and then resuming with more treatments.  At the end of your treatment series, and once I have a client to a clinical end point (we're both happy with the results), I move them into maintenance.  Maintenance (for me) is a monthly facial; one month it might be a Lemon Zest with a boost of lactic;  the next month, it might be a Lemon Zest with a layer of TCA (instead of a finishing mask).

I'm glad its working!!

Thats what I thought...6 months.  Ok thanks Lisa!!

I have been working with a women for her pigmentation and firming of the skin for about 6 months we have done a series of 6 passion fruit facials the we went to the Lemonzest series for around 6 treatments she is using all the appropriate homecare products. the last 3 weeks i have addded lactic to the lemonzest. Her skin is definitely firmer and brighter and now noticing the larger spots breaking up. My question is how long can I keep treating her every week as she loves coming in and is noticing a difference. I was thinking of letting the skin rest and she continue her hme care and start the series tx and add the tca tx
