@ Tracy - You can get into spray tanning with South Seas for around $400, including the tent to spray tan in.  Just buy the portable system. No streaks and super fast!  You can book appt's every 15 minutes!  It's the same stuff they use on Dancing with the Stars, Pirates of the Carribean, True Blood, etc..

I need to get into spray tanning. I'm thinking next yr. Thats about 1000 to get into it and I still have more facial 'stuff" I want to get.

could you tell me more about the hydrating/oxygenating facials? please. what products/protocol etc..

Spray tanning?  Maybe hydrating and oxygenating facials?  I think Enzyme facials are still ok??

Are you even talking Enzyme peels? (not doing these if they're out in the sun etc....)

what other things can we give to our clients during the summer months if we don't do the peels, something besides facials, waxing etc....What can we promote?

Thanks Lisa

this is exactly as I was thinking just love the reassurance I am using.

Regarding peels in the summer, I will perform them as long as I know my client will not be in the sun, nor will she have any heat exposure either.  I also know that my client is not fibbing to me.  Believe me, I have had my share of clients beg for a peel, but tell me about their upcoming golf tournament this weekend.  Or, better yet, they are spending the next week on their houseboat.  I take it on a case-by-case basis on whether I will treat them in the summer.  I do have clients that go to work and home, so I am comfortable treating them.

Hi Cheryl:  I, personally, use a soft wax called Satin Smooth and I have had great results because it is so gentle.  In fact, I can wax a client after her facial (even though she is using the glycolic cleanser, retinol scrub, at home)  I know my wax is gentle, and I have never torn any skin using it.  If you have some heavy duty wax, then I suggest stopping home exfoliants for at least one week prior to waxing.  I hope this helps.  Thanks!

Lisa I have a client on the glycolic cleanser , retinol srub and the pads is it safe to have her stop using for 3 days and then wax brows or should it be longer. also How do you feel about doing peels in the summertime as people spend more time out doors? :)

Hi Devyn - I don't have a problem with you using the gly/ret pads directly on that sunspot.  If you become sensitized, then slow down on usage, but I would definitely try it.

I know that we are not supposed to use retinol if we wax but I really want to start treating this sun spot under my eye (right on my cheekbone). I also cannot give up waxing...way too much hair! :) I do have pretty sensitive skin and I'm not even sure if my skin will handle doing this (I usually can't do anything like this) but I am determined to try something else!!

I want to use the Gly/Ret Pads to spot treat my sun spot. I will only use it on that spot. I would obviously never encourage a client to do this. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thank you
