Hi Sheila - what type of serum?

I do love the simplicity of the Skin Script line so I don't add many items unless I'm really excited on something.  I always keep people's requests in mind.

Lisa, do you think you will ever add any other serums to the line?  Just out of curiosity.  :).

Hey Lisa, I was just curious if you guys have ever considered adding a mandelic into the line to help treat acne?  Have you had any experience with that?  I purchased Face Reality's to use personally and the mandelic really helps clear up blemishes so I was curious if you have had any experience with mandelic?

I wouldn't choose a line that doesn't use toners...but I have noticed many lines saying they aren't necessary. I believe that the skin can only return to a proper pH after washing or even just water with a toner. But I've always been a huge opponent of alcohol (denatured) because it is so drying. I ordered the sample pack so I will have to give it a try. Thanks to responding.

Hi Emilie:

Alcohol gets a bad rap in my mind.  Its a great solvent to dissolve ingredients so that we our ingredients can spread through the product evenly without separation, etc.  We can counteract any drying effect with other ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, heavy water, etc.  For example, you mention your current lines don't like toners.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE our cucumber hydrating toner - it does have alcohol and a solution to dissolve ingredients, but it has much more in the way of hydrating ingredients (heavy water) to offset it.  I don't understand the philosophy of no toner - I feel that once you exfoliate, we need to add hydration back into the skin and one of those steps is a toner.  I hope this helps!

Hi Lisa and ladies,

I have been strongly considering Skin Script and I just ordered the two sample packs.  I was about 99% sure that this would be my new skincare line.  However, in reading the product ingredients, I am so disappointed to read of multiple products containing denatured alcohol.  I spoke to a sweet girl on the phone who suggested that Lisa will call or email me (and Lisa I know that you are very active on this board so I'm sure that you will be in touch soon)!  My two huge issues with lines are a) lines that don't offer or believe in toners and b) SD alcohol... At first I thought it was just in the Oily Skin toner, but now I'm seeing it in at least a handful of other products.  Can someone please offer any input in regards to this?  I'm looking for an effective, but generally naturally-sourced product that is safe but results-oriented.  This is of utmost importance to me.  Typically, SD Alcohol and Petrochemicals are public enemies #1 and 2 for me so I'm hoping that there may be a solution in this range for me.  Thank you!!

Sheila:  Yes, the Ageless Skin Moisturizer can be used for dry skin.  I consider that moisturizer a great, classic moisturizer that can fit most skin types.  Your drier-skin clients may want something heavier for night, such as the Acai Berry, Peptide Restoration, or Hydrating Moisturizer.

Thanks for the nice comment about the colorful brochures!  Candace, our marketing/graphics person, was a wish come true.  I hope you received the posters as well.  I'm glad we can make selling/recommending easier for you.  :)

I am LOVING the new brochures!!  I got to hand out my first one today along with the $100 in product my client purchased.  Thanks Lisa for making selling retail so easy and straight forward!!

Side note, I just fully brought SS on 3 weeks ago where I am selling retail and using complete protocols and in those 3 weeks I have probably sold about $600 if not more in product.  Not bad considering I only worked one day the first week I had the product because I went on vacation!!

Question, I for right now only brought on the light aloe moisturizer and the ageless.  Is the ageless still ok for dry skin clients?  I know you recommend hydrating moisturizer.  I always recommend the ageless serum to go with it.
