The skin scripts toner is Amazing for Hydration. I have very dry skin and I also have to use it everyday,it just makes my skin feels more nourished ,plump and hydrated Love It!!!!
Lisa - I'm remembering what his view was now, that the only reason why a person would need a toner was if their cleanser was to high in PH and the toner was needed to balance skin ph. That most toners are alcohol based and that is why you get the sting.
Oh my gosh - that is not my opinion at all. I love toners. Our cucumber toner really hydrates the skin - lifts the pH up after cleansing and exfoliating. Why do I feel this way? I use it every day and night. If I skip this step my skin starts to feel tight. One of the great ingredients in our cucumber toner is heavy water. Here's a run down on heavy water:
Heavy Water bonds with the skin and other connective tissues more strongly than regular H20, and is more viscous, providing higher levels of hydration than simple water, because of its higher resistance to evaporation. It reduces cellular stress and assists to protect against bacteria, viruses and radiation. The higher viscosity of heavy water allows it to have a higher plumping factor, especially when used in conjunction with other moisture-attracting ingredients (like hylauronic acid). Because its heavier nuclear mass makes it "wetter," D2O can provide additional hydration to the skin and is especially helpful for post-laser hydration.
So I just took a class by Circadia and was told that you don't need to use toners anymore because something to do with PH levels and alcohol. Lisa what are your thoughts? Sorry I can't remember his exact reason.
Just wanted to say that the customer service at Skin Script is amazing!
Just ordered my Cranberry Sugarcane Enzyme and Vanilla Clove mask duo, and it's on its way!!, can't wait to try them!! Thank you Skin Script!
Sheila - yes, I boost my Passionfruit all the time. I advise estheticians to do this ONLY when you are comfortable with this enzyme. It has an intense, dermal warming, red effect on the skin. I don't want to scare any of my estheticians with the intense warming/red. Regarding adding serums to the enzymes to cut the intensity, absolutely, you could do this. I also suggest mixing in the Goji Berry Mask to cut the intensity of enzymes if needed.
Amber - please e-mail me at lisa@skinscriptrx.com and I will e-mail you the eye/lip protocol.
OK 2 more questions :)
I know the passion fruit tightens and gives a healthy glow...but would it makes any sense ever to bump up the passion fruit with some lactic peel? I love the brightening effects of the lactic and the fact that it's great for those tight clogged pores so I wondered if you could ever do that or if it would make sense to.
Would you ever add serums to any of the enzymes to cut the intensity or would that actually make them more intense?
I know that the Skin Script products use natural ingredients but I am feeling the need/demand to offer an organic facial (to pair with the organic cafe that is at the wellness center I rent from). I know that I can say that the products have natural ingredients but can't claim they are organic of course. Do you have any Organic Lines that you think would pair nicely with Skin Scripts products? I have been looking at quite a few and one that I keep coming back to is Image's Ormedic line. If you have any advice or suggestions that would be great! Thanks Lisa!!
