Hi Toni:  I hope you love the samples and find results with them.  For summertime facials, I recommend the (1) Beach facial, or (2) Sweet Tea facial.  Those are my nicknames for the Coconut Papaya facial and the Raspberry Peach facial which can be used on all skin types and are most gentle.  Take a look at the protocols for Coconut and Raspberry that were included with your sample kit and see if those will work for you.  They smell wonderful!

Sheila, I am somewhat new to Skinscript products also, but I will tell you that everything I have ordered, I have been happy with.  I also have another product line, but I have always been a fan of enzyme txs and these enzyme products give you results.  Bottom line is, they work.  My clientele is older so on rare occasions I'll have an acne client.  Therefore, I haven't tried the pomegrante or cranberry.  The Lemon Zest is wonderful and I mix that with lactic acid (1/2 tsp) and steam.  On some people, they can get a little flushed or even red, so you need to watch out for that.  The raspberry peach is wonderful and I love the one you purchased, coconut papaya.  I just bought the blueberry, but haven't used it yet and the pumpkin orange is nice also, but quite strong.  I'm slowly trying their retail line and one product I will say that I like already is the tri-peptide eye cream.

I saw your question regarding facial massage.  I think everyone does it at different stages of the facial.  I do mine after extractions, except for an acne or extremely sensitive pt.  I apply the hydrating serum and green tea/vit c serum first and then use the seaweed mask over top to massage.  If you haven't tried the goji berry mask, that is wonderful.  Between both my skincare lines, that is my favorite mask.  One of the things I like about this line is that they don't have a zillion products and you can get creative in coming up with a seasonal, holiday or any promotion for the month facial.

hmm  about the massaging after the peel...Lisa and Sheila I am new at the enzymes and I didn't know I wasn't supposed to.  I have always massaged right after I remove.  I don't have a steamer yet so it's probably not as intense as it could be.  It's awesome when I can feel their dead skin rolling off!  lol  That happened a couple of times, probably on clients with more build up. huh?

Great info!  I just received my sample enzyme kit and will be trying them soon.  I also need to know one or two summer time treatments that I can offer to most because I'm a start up business and can only introduce a couple of enzymes and mask at this time.  My entire client list is in the sun all summer so I lose most of my peel patients during the summer.  I think Skin Scripts has great treatments to offer as an alternative to peels.  Lisa, thanks for all the hands on information you provide to this forum!

Hi Sheila - I add about 1/2 tsp (1/2 pump) of glycolic or lactic to the enzymes.  I ONLY do this when I want the enzymes stronger.  I don't suggest boosting an enzyme with a peel until you are comfortable with the enzyme alone and it's a client who is a regular.  Adding acids is an option when you want a stronger facial, but definitely not required.

As far as a facial protocol, I (1) cleanse, (2) enzyme, (3) mechanical exfoliation if desired), (4) extractions, (5) treatment serums, (6) massage with the Seaweed Mask, (7) add Goji Berry Mask if needed, (8) tone, (9) moisturize, and (10) spf.  That's a 60 minute facial for me.

I do not massage after a peel; my feeling would be that it might drive it in a lot deeper than I want.  Honestly, I have never massaged after a peel, so I couldn't answer that truthfully.

I use my Seaweed mask for massage - it has a great slip to it.  It's also a little tingly (as you might have read on other posts here).  Tingly is okay for me.

Great!  Thanks Lisa!!

I do have another question for you.  When you say in the protocols to add glycolic peel to an enzyme or the Lemon Zest to the Lactic, about how much should be added?  At what point in your facial protocols would you recommend doing the facial massage and can you do that after a peel or would you recommend not to?  I have heard different opinions on whether or not it's ok.  Do you have anything particular you like to use for the massage portion of a facial?  Ok, that was more than just one more question :).  Thanks!

Hi Sheila.  I'm excited to have you try our enzymes!  I, personally, like your idea of the Coconut and the Pomegranate.  Yes, I do think you will see/feel results from the enzymes alone.  You might consider adding the Goji Berry Yogurt Mask.

I look forward to everyone else's response.

I am going to start introducing your enzymes into my backbar with my Glo products.  I have so much backbar so I am not in a position to totally make the switch but would like to slowly start.  I thought the enzymes were a great starting point.  I am going to offer these with my summer facial so I was thinking of definitely having the coconut/papaya but also the pomegranate for the acne.  Technically the coconut can be used on most skin types right?  Also, I know that using all of the products together help with the effectiveness but in your opinion, are the enzymes pretty successful on their own as far as helping with acne?  I had purchased the samples so Friday I am going to try the cranberry turn over possibly with glycolic on a client.  She has been suffering from severe breakouts so I thought this would be good and I am out of the pomegranate.

Just starting out with the line, what is everyone's opinion on must have products to start or what are everyone's favorite products?

Thanks for your help.

Hi Barbara - For homecare, I would start her with Green Tea Cleanser, Retinol Scrub, Cucumber Toner, Ageless Hydrating Serum/Vitamin C Serum, appropriate moisturizer and spf.  For professional treatments, I would start with the Coconut Papaya enzyme and see how she responds.  After that I would move her into a Lactic Peel and eventually work into 1 layer of the TCA (remember this is a VERY gentle TCA).
