Hi Tara: I like your idea of no steam and use a mild enzyme, such as Raspberry Peach. Have you tried the dermafile on top of the enzyme to buff the skin for mild resurfacing? If not, here's what I do: Apply the enzyme for 7-10 minutes. During the last 2 minutes that the enzyme is on, I use the dermafile (ever so gently, with no tugging or pulling) on top of the enzyme. It leaves the skin very soft (buffing), yet no suction for the couperose skin. For homecare, I would recommend the Pomegranate Cleanser and Retinol Scrub used 2-3 times a week (gently), then Cucumber Toner, etc. I hope this help and look forward to everyone else's feedback. Thanks!
Does anyone have a favorite protocol they use for couperose skin? I have a client who came in and as soon as you touch her face she starts to flush so I used no steam and cool water during her facial. She really wants to resurface her skin around her nose and chin (which are also couperose) and kept telling me she just really doesn't like how her skin is looking. Any favorite products or treatments out there?
Shelley: I hunted you down, didn't I?! Glad to see you so busy. We love all of our customers and are so happy to see you and meet you once again. We have a lot of customers just stopping by to say "hi" and we love that.
Lisa....I looked for you guys yesterday during set up in Vegas and couldn't find you in the mass confusion that goes on during set up! I'll hunt you down today for my hug....looking forward to seeing all my Skin Script friends!
Kim: Regarding your nut allergy question, there are 4 products containing nut ingredients: the SPF, Hydrating Moisturizer, Cranberry Sugar Cane Enzyme (seasonal), and the Orangeberry Enzyme (seasonal). If you are ever in question, please patch test. Thanks!
...forgot to add that I REMOVE the enzyme before serums and masque! LOL
Marie - I have a shortened protocol that I use for express facials that works pretty good...
1st cleanse with Green Tea cleanser, 2nd cleanse with Glycolic cleanser and Retinol Scrub, under steam Pomegranate enzyme for about 5 mins - I lightly massage it in with warm water, Apply serums (optional), mini massage with Seaweed masque, leave on and do mini massage on your favorite area (neck arms shoulders or head). Remove masque and moisturize.
Hi Ladies! I would like to offer "facial parties" with express facials for groups of women with treatments running 30-45 minutes. I think it's a great way to introduce women to skincare at a reasonable cost in an effort to build my business. Anyone have protocols to share? I do have a Skin Spatula and a Dermafile that I can incorporate. I' would not want to do a chemical peel, for obvious reasons but rather something that would exfoliate and leave a beautiful glow for a few days!
Shelley...I think YOU are amazing! I love playing with all your modalities. I think our products complement each other well. Yes, I do still get really excited in the treatment room when I think of a new protocol. It's very rewarding to me when I see and feel the difference in skin. Thanks again and maybe we can do it again with more, different protocols.
Tara: Thank you for attending! I'm glad you liked it. :)
