Where in Wisconsin are you living, Tamra? In order for me to get licensed in peels, I have to go to a school called Skin Alive/Mequon Thiensville School of Esthetics. Next Sunday, they are holding their 6 hour chem peel certification class. As for Boards - wow, I don't even remember what we were tested on. The practical was pretty easy. Just make sure everything is labeled, that the instructor has seen you perform whatever it is she/he is asking for... the general things. I recall the written portion being nothing about what I studied, but I ended up doing pretty well by guessing. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
Hi Sara thanks for the info and quick response. I live in Janesville. I wish I could go this Sunday to the Peel certification. I am glad to hear practical testing was easy for you. That's the one I was most worried about. Was Pearson Vue the testing agency? I had heard that your model has to sit upright in a chair for all skills how awkward. Where are you located. Do you work for yourself or at a spa?
Actually, don't remember if it was Pearson vue, but yest, model is upright in a chair during the testing. A little akward but you'll get through it. Just be professional or fake it till ya make it! My model was my best friend and I thought we were going to laugh uncontrolably! I am in Brookfield, WI. I work for myself these days, because I couldn't find a job. Although, I've had educated myself a lot and feel that I am one of the only ones in this area that does that and brings on cutting edge treatments. Let me know what you are up to or where you end up going. And again, good luck to you!!
