Your big day is coming up and you have planned every little detail from the wedding party to the wedding night, not to mention the tropical honeymoon, but what you probably didn’t think of was how a little glow to your skin can help you look refreshed, picture perfect, and ready to hit the beach.
Why not let your skin look radiant on your big day by opting for an airbrush tan? A little color goes a long way and can help give you the needed contrast to make your wedding dress pop off pale skin
Here are the basics to get you started:
When to schedule:
In order to make sure that you get the results you want for your wedding, it’s always advisable to do a trial tan. It is suggested that you get the spray tan done 2 days prior to your wedding so best to schedule your trial tan two days before your makeup trial so your makeup artist will have an idea what to expect.
Will it rub off on my dress?
This is a common worry that some brides have; however, there is no need for concern when it comes to a good airbrush tan. Before your appointment at Gotham Glow, you will be sent all the Do’s and Don’ts for how best to prepare and how best to maintain the tan before your appointment. This kind of service really helps you know what to expect way before your appointment so you can address any concerns and find a time that works with your schedule.
Is this better than going to a tanning bed?
In the days leading up to your wedding, you have so much on your plate and spending countless days in a tanning bed is not only time consuming, it’s doesn’t achieve the perfect, natural look and is very damaging to your skin. An airbrush glow will give you the subtle shading and the desired tone to make you look more tucked, toned, and healthy. For these reasons, airbrush has become a much more popular method because appointments are quick and easy and results can be seen within 2 to 8 hours of your appointment, depending on what solution you use and the desired outcome
Here are some helpful tanning tips:
1. Make sure to exfoliate before your appointment, the day before is ideal. Take extra care around elbows, heels and ankles as well as your knees.
2. Shave the day before or day of your appointment for best results. Be sure to come to your appointment with clean, dry skin.
3. On the day of, make sure to not use deodorants, oils or perfumes. If so, the residue and alcohol used in them could cause the color to be interfered with when applying the tan.
4. Lastly, make sure to avoid sweating, skin on skin, and to wear loose, comfortable clothing after your appointment and while the solution is still developing. If you sleep in the tanning solution, you’ll want to wear long, soft pants and a t-shirt to keep your skin off your skin and to protect your sheets.
All of these things will allow for your bridal airbrush tan to last for the days leading up to your wedding.
