Hi Everyone, I am new to the profession and just starting up and buying all my equipment.  I do not know which Microdermabrasion machine to get...any suggestions?  I do like the diamond vs the crystals but do not want to pay a small fortune.   Are there any brands in particular that are better?

Hi Danielle, I suggest Athena Beauty. We use the microexfoliator and the 6638 crystal machine in our clinics - you can purchase one through Advanced Rejuvenating Concepts for $1,995 and they give an organization discount of $300 for this machine. They also have an ultrasonic that gives a great treatment post-micro. If your budget is $4,000 you can get the microexfoliator and ultrasonic for $2,690 for a limited time.

Well, I really really like Dermasweep. It's $4995 but I've been discounting them to $4500 all Summer. That's a bit higher than you mentioned though. I also use the Diamantech with LED and infusion spray. It's $2500. Nice little machine! You can see both of them on my website.

Thank you for your suggestion, great price and it is a different treatment than what clients are used to - they always like something unique.   I was hoping to stay around $4,000, is that about average?  I really like the DiamondTome, but it is pricey. What brand should I look into?

My choice would be diamond over crystals. What is your budget?

Here's a suggestion: Use an ultrasonic spatula and then the dermafiles. I have before and after pics on my website of a treatment that I call "The Freshen Up Facial" . It uses those two tools and you'll be amazed at the results. Cost for the two tools....a whopping $300!! Definitely not a small fortune!
