Mobile Esthetics

Hey Girls!

considering Going on my own and thinking about providing a mobile esthtic service to my local community. I Dont feel like im getting anywhere working from salon to spa to salon..... Sigh,,, Any suggestions anyone or advice. Im hoping to make this a reality. Anything will help. Thanks!!!=)

I am hoping to go mobile, too, when I finish school. I have been doing some reseach (& experiments) with making facials mobile. Maybe one of these ideas will help:

Using a tiered vegetable steamer to heat towels & lotions. I've got one from Amazon that works well & only cost $ 30 - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002SB8LPA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00
Shelley Hancock has the Dermafiles & Ultrasonic spatula. Those seem like a good fit for mobile services

I agree about the bed. I have a "portable" massage table that is really not easy to cart around. I'm going to try an inexpensive zero gravity chair & see if that's workable. Another thing you might want to consider is airbrush makeup. Dinair has good prices & it looks like they are fairly small.

I have a girlfriend who does completely mobile facials/body treatments and has a hard time with all her stuff. She uses a rolling suitcase/trunk style thing and also a folding bed. The bed is very heavy, so make sure you can find a sturdy but light bed to lug around!
