The Best Cost Effective Skincare line for New Business

Hi…In your opinion(s) what’s a great cost effective and great working skincare line to begin a small business i.e. treatment room? I’m looking for a skincare company that does not require a large start up fee and/or an extremely expensive minimal order requirement. Thanks!

Hi Lugenia, have you heard of eraclea?  It is a new product line from the Dallas area. There is no minimum order and standard shipping of $8.95 regardless of how much you order.  All eraclea products contain the patented Hylasponge system and clinical levels of proven ingredients.  The Hylasponge is comprised of three different weights of hyaluronic acid which essentially delivers continuous hydration and delivery of water and soluble biologically active ingredients to the stratum corneum and through it to the deeper layers of the dermis.  You can view the entire product line at www.eracleaskincare.com, and I would welcome any questions you have about specific ingredients, research, clinical studies, etc.  I can find out who your local rep is if you would like some samples to try.

Emelina A. French, what a glamorous name! Hey, thanks for sharing your information. I sincerely appreciate the feedback. I, like other skincare professionals, am extremely grateful for this website. The advise that everyone shares is exceptionally priceless! I’ve wanted to know about the stipulations regarding Dermalogica. I have attended a few of their trainings, which I enjoyed, but as I’ve previously mentioned, it appears as if Skin Scripts may be the winning product at this time. As my business grows (God willing) maybe I will consider Dermalogica. Thanks again for sharing, and continued success with your business! By the way, I think it’s great that you gifted yourself after retirement…that’s truly a blessing!

Hi Lugenia - I also use Skin Scripts and it's a very good product line, no minimums, great customer service.  Their product line is exceptional for ethnic skin.  I live in Florida and this is one of the things we deal with.  I started with the retail products and maybe a couple of backbar products.  This has given me the opportunity to try them without a big expense all at once.

I have also thought about a second line and inquired about Dermalogica-they've been in the business for a long time and are well known and have their Dermal Institue where they have their trainings.  If you open an acct with them, the training is free.  Otherwise most of the classes are around $100+. The Dermal Institue is a plus, plus and I understand they have them nation-wide.  Opening an acct. is $1800 minimum.  It seems like they encourage selling retail a lot because that's where you also make $$.  Needless to say, I put that in the back burner.  Even if I went with them as a second line, I would not give up Skin Scripts.  I am a solo practitioner, I finished my training 3 years ago which was a gift to myself after I retired.  After 3 yrs and thanks to my hair stylist I started my business in her beauty shops.  The pros are you don't have to worry about the big expense of renting a locale and if you get along good with everyone it's great.  You make your own hours and have flexibility.  The downside- it's a bit too noisy- unless you have a real room that blocks out noisy, I have to take care of the area around my "space" (uncluttering, etc.).  For starters it's good- later... we'll see.  Hope this helps.  Good luck!

Hi Lugenia! I have found that Skin Scripts is a very nice way to start out as they do Not have a minimum balance for orders,no start up fees just order what you can afford and they have a sample pack og retail and professional products so you can try the line first and its only $5 to ship your order and they are fast too, The line has awesome ingredients and Excellent Enzymes, Glycolic, Lactic and a TCA  Love the line. Check it out. Good Luck Hon.
