Antibiotics and Chem. Peels

I have a teenage girl of African ethnicity, currently taken (antibiotic) Acticlate 150mg. for her acne.How long should she be off medication before a Chemical Peel? I use PCA skin products

I would say that it's ok to do a chemical peel if someone is on antibiotics; however, I would call PCA if I were you and check with them to make sure.

I did. Like you i see no real issue in doing a Sensi Peel on her, but their suggestion was for her to be off the antibiotics for 2 weeks... Thanks for your response.

Is it safe and really necessary to do a chemical peel on teenager?

Antibiotics cause the skin to become very sensitive. Therefore, it is recommended to wait the same length of time of the dosage period. Example, 10 days on meds - 10 days off, then proceed with the peel.
